Wow!!! What a turn-out we had for our August “Second Saturday Lunch”!!!
The sky was bird blue and cloudless. What more could a pilot have asked for? This had to be one of the biggest events yet. I counted over thirty-five planes & over fifty five people. So many hungry people that we ran out of food. My apologies to those who didn’t get enough to eat. We’ll be sure to do better in September. Saturday saw many of our old friends as well as many new folks.
Some of our new aviators are quite young. Jake is 12 and has already logged over 3hours of instruction toward his pilots license!! WAY TO GO JAKE!!
Some of our new friends are quite a bit older than Jake but have never been for a ride in a G.A. plane. Chuck seemed to really enjoy flying and isn’t afraid to ask questions. It’s always fun to introduce a new person to flying.
Thanks to everyone that pitched in to help out. More Hands make lighter work. Special thanks goes out to my nephews Andrew & Ian for all of their help getting ready and cleaning up.
There were many more people & many more airplanes. Way too many to list as evident by all the pictures below. All of these pictures were taken by my father, Fred Kleppner. If you have any that you would like to add to this site, please send them in.
