Paragon Casino in Marksville, La. is about 1/2 mile from KMKV with shuttle service. They have 3 restaurants and a great buffet with 3 different cuisines. KMKV is 3800', paved with a just completed taxiway. It has tie-downs and newly constructed restrooms. It has self service 100LL I think at $4.70 a gal. Bring tie down ropes.

G'day Mate, it is a great website, Tim, and I know it will get even better. The August get together was a sell out and the momentum is building. Many thanks to you and all the other volunteers for a job well done. Keep the burgers and sausage etc. flowing. See you in October.

Regards,
John

Tim,
Thanks so much for including the JROTC cadets on the new website. It looks great. I also want to mention that the positive response my cadets have received when working at MJD during the annual fly-in and the Broke Spinner has been really great for them. I need all the help I can get in mentoring these young people in their search for an interest in aviation. I have an active ground school, and generally have one or two cadets in an active flight training program. What I'd really like is to add an A&P component to the program. Anyone with ideas or willingness to help with any part of getting the youngsters into aviation is always appreciated.
